History

The Problem

  • Getting started is expensive and leaves many aspiring angler with no way to participate
  • The competition is growing to higher levels yearly
  • Parent knowledge only goes so far especially if you aren’t coming from a fishing background

The NWAI Solution

It is clear, young anglers not only need the equipment but also mentorship and leadership of someone who has the experience at the level they are trying to get to.

To us, the solution is to provide what junior athletes in every other major sport are receiving. Individualized training and opportunity from credible, and knowledgeable coaches in the sport. We have the experience, the credentials, and the equipment. Now as a non-profit organization we aim to provide this for many more youth anglers and reach those who are underprivileged.

We offer programs that allow junior anglers to compete, learn, and position themselves for the most success without having to break down the high barriers to entry on their own!

Now, when parents ask “how do you get involved in fishing without a boat and how do you fish in college” the answer is clear, you come join the only program specifically designed to provide opportunities competitive fishing. New Wave Angler Initiative.
